Outstanding instruction & service
There are two excellent Ski Schools in Niederau. Guests are free to choose which provider they want to use. Like for like prices are generally the same. We have always recommended both schools but generally, suggest our guests use Ski School Aktiv as we feel they offer a more personal service and for cash payments offer a discount. Normal children’s lessons (ages six and above) are for four hours each day, mornings and afternoons. Adult group lessons are mornings only (video analysis included) as are snowboard lessons with a maximum of just six guests per class. The school caters for younger children in their Bambini classes (ages three to five) – a mixture of an introduction to skiing, games and animation and offered as a half-day courses. Aktiv also runs a very popular nursery – their Mini Dragons for toddlers between one and three.
Private lessons for adults and children are also available – two skiers included in the price.
Please be aware that normal group lessons begin on a Sunday and Monday only.

Equipment
A great service from our long time supplier.
There are two equipment hire outlets in Niederau. Ski's, boards and boots - plus Cross Country equipment and toboggans can be organised on arrival at the Staffler or directly online with our preferred supplier - Ski & Board Margreiter. Margreiter's is less than 200 meters from the Staffler, close to Ski Schools and the main slopes and lifts. Prices are available on request. Click on the Niederau outlet for online reservations here
Additional benefits of booking online is the security of ordered equipment - especially important over high season dates and children's equipment hired for seven days only pays for six.
Margreiter's offers the largest range and biggest volume of equipment in Niederau and the most competitive prices. Staffler guests also enjoy a 10% discount on published prices and the newest equipment.
