The Wildschonau, Kitzbuhler
Alps & so much more
Austria, offers the best all round ski experience of any Alpine nation. Absolutely. Resorts continually invest in their ski infrastructure - new lifts, new piste and always improved snow making facilities. Piste management is second to none - and prices are some of the keenest in Europe. You'll always be welcome and you'll always be pleased with the service.
The Austrian Tirol is one of the worlds greatest ski paradises. The restaurants and bars as much a part of the experience as the slopes and scenery - and that's saying something considering there are nearly 4000kms of piste, 1700 lifts and some of the most famous resorts in the world.
The Wildschonau, Kitzbuhler
Alps & so much more
The Kitzbuhler Alps combine seven of the best ski areas in the Tirol offering guests guaranteed snow, state of the art cable cars and lifts, more than 1000kms of piste and a myriad of mountain bars and restaurants. The Wildschonau, comprising Niederau, Oberau and Auffach and now including Alpbach under the Ski Juwel banner is an integral part of this massive system, prices can be accessed here.

Niederau is renowned as one of the worlds best resorts for beginners and families. The extensive nursery slopes are dotted around the village centre while the blue runs on the upper slopes are wide and gentle. There are red and black runs back down to the village. Auffach close by offers a range of slopes - the best is the long blue and red home run. Auffach and Alpbach are joined with a gondola and middle station red piste connection - 130km of piste and 45 lifts.

By combining the more challenging runs above Niederau and Auffach/Alpbach the better skier can enjoy a couple of days of fantastic skiing. Just ten minutes away lies Hopfgarten and access to the SkiWelt. The SkiWelt via Westendorf connects to the hills this side of Kiztbuhel, Kitz itself and the skiing beyond at Jochburg, Pass Thurn and Mittersill. Further afield but absolutely reachable in no more than 40 minutes is Steinplatter - skiing from Austria into Germany and back and Fieberbrunn offering access to a big days skiing across the Ski Circus encompassing Hinterglemm, Sallbach and Leogang.

The majority of our guests utilise the Salburger Super Ski pass which encompasses all of the above and lots more besides including Zell am Ziller and Gerlos on the Zillertal and again easily accessible from the Staffler. We also ski and board the hills above Mayhofen, Kaltenbach and Fungen.
